How green are you? Not envy green, not alien green.. care for the environment green. It's all the rage these days. It's not easy though - green living. When I think about living green, I think about renewable energy resources like solar power and wind turbines. Energy efficient appliances, that sort of thing. All of which may sound very complicated and costly. Well, there are easier things that we all can do - recycling, car pooling, turning off electrical switches when appliances are not in use, reusable bags, that sort of thing.
Here are 7 small steps that we can also do/think of in our strive to living green. Most of them are more applicable to women though.
1. Breastfeeding
2. Cloth Diapering
3. Babywearing
4. Using cloth sanitary pads
5. Using cloth wipes instead of tissues
6. Using reusable shopping bags (make sure you have one or two or more stashed in your handbag or car all the time)
7. Choosing organic or safer products
8. Making your own enzymes or compost
9. Reusing old stuffs, making them into something new (like sewing your old clothes into bags, etc..)
Do you have any others you care to share?
