Alhamdulillah

It has been 4 months and almost two weeks that Ashraf Zane came into our lives and he has been an absolute delight.  From his smiles and coos to pouty lips, he's gorgeous.  Spoken like a true dotting mom, kan?  Well, it's true.  And I have really been mommying him for the past 4 months.  I can proudly say that I am the sole primary caregiver of the little tyke.  It has been challenging at times but mostly I find myself thinking, how can any mom ever go out and work and let somebody else take care of their baby and miss out on all the lovely surprises, the bonding, the developments each day?  Is it a sacrifice indeed and I truly admire those mommies who so easily balance both work and family life.

Alhamdulillah that I have been able to breastfeed Ashraf and still continuing despite there (still) being some naysayers that insist it isn't enough.  My baby is 7.9kg at 4 months, healthy and happy and how can they still think that it is not enough?

Alhamdulillah for being able to make choices that I have made.  For the guidance I have received, the support that is so generously given.

So many things to be thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving to those celebrating. Much love.
